March 23, 2010 marked the first meeting of the new SAGA and Tigers Roar staff. With acceptance letters delivered the week before, the new staffers made their way to room 303, already dedicated to the new role at hand. “I’m ready for next year to come. The new staff has tons of ideas for next year and I’m glad to be a part of it,” Sophomore Alexander Carroll said.

Discussing new ideas, the staff was treated to a breakfast of donuts and chocolate milk as they talked about next year. Many changes are coming to Tigers Roar, as well as Saga, as a new regime of soon-to-be seniors prepare to take those graduating. The strenuous role of editor-in-chief of SAGA has been assigned to DeShawn Thornton, with Leah Reeb as Managing Editor. “I’m so stoked  for next year. I know that with the help of my new staff we will have one of the best yearbooks in Slidell High history,” Th0rnton said.

Becoming the leader of Tiger’s Roar staff for 2010-2011, Kayla Elston has taken the role of Editor-in-Chief with Kevin Dupuy joining the team as Managing Editor. “I have alot of ideas next year that I’m eager to implement,” Dupuy said.

SAGA and the Tigers Roar are coming back next year, as fierce as ever with fresh ideas, new faces, and a lot of willpower. Keep reading and watching to see the cubs become the Tigers at Slidell High.
