Students from around the district gathered at Southeastern University on March 20, 2010 to represent their respective schools at the Annual Literary Rally. The top students in each class were selected by their teachers to compete against other students from around the state. Slidell High fielded an army of 40 students to compete in the Literary Rally, 15 of whom will go on to compete at state.

After the testing, students were allowed to enjoy the annual Rock ‘n Roar Fest. The festival included booths containing everything from Billy Mayes-endorsed fried chicken, to chemistry experiments, to an Air Force flight simulation game.
