Elizabeth Gelvin

Elizabeth Gelvin is 17 and a senior at Slidell High.  She has traded in her remaining dignity and childlike sense of wonder for minimum wage at Chuck E. Cheese.  She enjoys scribbling in her notebook about every place she’s been, every thing she’s done, and every person she’s met (which more likely than not includes you). In the future, Elizabeth plans on travelling the world and telling stories of her adventures.

Ellen Beaucoudray

Ellen is an awsome senior, and a native journalist. She is Treasurer of the Thespian society, and is active in her church as well. When not working on school work or club stuff, she writes and illistrates her own books and comics, and spends time with her friends and family. In the future, Ellen hopes to land a job with a newspaper, or become a reporter. She also wants to publish her books and become a sucessful writer.

Jenna Mastascuso

Jenna Mastascuso is a 16 year old sophomore at Slidell High. She is in the SHS tiger band, playing the 1st bass on the drumline.  To Jenna, journalism is describing herself to other people. Journalism shares and expresses how she feels on topics. In the future Jenna would like to do something involving music, she would also like to go into the Army to work in the Medical field.

Adam Hendricks

Adam Hendricks is a Junior at Slidell High.  He is currently enrolled in the Engineering Academy and taking Journalism to see if likes being a journalist.  Adam also writes a weakly column in the Time’s-Picayune representing Slidell High.  In the future, he plans to graduate from college and continue working in the engineering field.

Nigil Briant

Fair, open-minded, and non compromising, Nigil is a very complicated individual. He is very secure and rarely ever talks about his life. However, he really likes to create and build models for classes and writing about the many things that may cross his mind.Nigil really enjoys thinking, logic, and strategy, just he hasn’t found a life path that would put them to use just yet.

Alexander Carroll

Alexander Carroll is 16 years old and a Junior at Slidell High. He works stage crew for the Thespian Society. He believes Journalism is a very interesting, interactive class with fast pace, fun activities. He plans on going to college and majoring in Journalism and minoring in Business. He eventually wants to write for Substream Music Press(:

Joseph Galbreth

Joseph Galbroth is 16 years old and a senior in high school.  He is on the Yearbook and Newspaper staff. Joseph works on the ads for the newspaper and is the buisness manager for the yearbook. His future plans are to become a game designer.

Brittany Robinson

Brittany Robinson is a proud senior of the Slidell High School Tigers.  She is a member of Beta Club, Saga Staff, and broadcasting. When she is not in school, Brittany enjoys  school sporting events, going to the movies, and spending time with friends.  One day she hopes to travel, be a film director, and a radio personality.

Kevin Dupuy: Managing Editor

Kevin Dupuy is a senior and proud member of the class of 2011.  He is 17 and is looking forward to spending a second year on the Tiger’s Roar staff and returning as a Managing Editor. He spends most of his journalism class managing the site on the newspaper as well as gathering information which the writers need. Kevin is always looking for new ideas and ways to promote the newspaper. He reported for the football season  last year, covering every home game. In edition to being a Managing Editor on the newspaper, Kevin also serves as an editor for the morning announcements and broadcasting crew.

Quinci Hayward

Quinci Hayward is a 16-year-old Junior at Slidell. She is a Vice president of the Beta Club and her Junior class , she also plays volleyball for the Lady Tigers. Find her in the hallways showing her TIGER PRIDE! Quinci still hopes to one day be an Olympic volleyball player, a world renouned journalist, and a fashion icon.

Kayla Elston: Editor-in-Chief

Kayla Eston is a senior at Slidell High School and an editor of the Tigers Roar.  She is involved in Thespians.  When she is not in school, Kayla enjoys writing, sketching, and being with her friends.  In the future, Kayla hopes to work at a publishing company and eventually wants to move to London.
